Real People vs. Their Inner Nerd

   So today, after being in different vent channels and what not, I decided that there are some people I just can't stand as gamers.  Not that I dislike them as people, as I'm sure they are as nice as can be, it's just their "alter in game ego" that I can't deal with.

  I came upon this after listening to a couple people in our Ventrillo.  Quite honestly it's been quite some time in the making that I finally muted one of them, and the other is turned way down to 20%.  Problem is, I like them.....as people.  They seem super nice.  They are always willing to help out with whatever is needed, and never have anything but good things to say about anyone else.  So does it make me a horrible person because I can't take their voices?  Is it bad that every single time I hear one of their voices, I want to rip my ears off and feed them to my two, 6lb dogs, as I watch them slowly devour my eardrums?  Probably. 

I guess something can be said aobut the way someone sounds over some voice service online.  I'm sure if I ever meet them on the street, I'll have no damn clue it was them.  As I'm sure they don't sound like a strung out Minnie Mouse and a coked up Penguin getting ready to thwart Batman with his next greatest umbrella.  If they do though, I'll be sure to make fun of them to their faces, rather than to other people in tells. 

Another thing that really perterbs me about it, is that they are just terrible players.  Sure they are willing to help and yah they have nothing but good things to say, but if I'm doing 300k healing in a scenario and said annoying healer is doing 60k........something is terribly wrong.  And if the 2009 Penguin is really as good as he says he is, nearly wiping full zergs before he finally eats it..........why in the hell is he charging into 18 enemies as a ranged dps?  Maybe they are huffing, frying their brains and altering their voices?  Who knows.

One thing I do know, I'll probably continue to group with them.  Why you ask?  Think about it.... I just made an entire blog entry off of them.
