Hard to limit it to a few, but here goes:
Squared - to reduce the size of parties and warbands and ease klicking for healer characters etc.
WindowCleaner - to clean the junk from the screen
SquaredAssist - for easy assisting
ISHealBot - for easy healing
nStanceHighlighter - for switching stances smoothly
CloakHeraldry - to fix that annoying bug for guilded characters
RvR Stats Tab - for fun stats
AutomaticNeedGreed - for erasing annoying popups in scenarios
Approximate FPS - for checking FPS
AnywhereTrainer - to see trainer stats wherever you are
SpamMeNot - don't play without it
I recommend Curse Client (www.curse.com) because updates can be automatically downloaded and installed when you are out of the game. It has been reliable for me.

I also am not much on "spoilers." When encountering a new game, I think I would rather stumble around for some time, finding the occasional tome unlock. If I reach a high enough frustration level, I would consider the spoiler mods. My frustration threshold is a bit higher than most. I look for mods that help me play the game easier or clear the screen clutter before I get the spoiler mods.

The SCT mod is a great addition to WAR. I also suffer from extremely bad frame rates in keep battles. Once, before the 1.06 patch, when the Destruction weaklings were bashing the door down, I was kicked just as they poured through the door. I was so tired of lag by then, I quit playing to cool off. I need one of those supercomputers.
