The internet is usually a pleasant place for me. I don't visit many forum sites, so most of the time I don't get bogged down by all the negativity. The one major exception to this was the comments section of news blogs during the elections last year. For some reason I was addicted to reading all the garbage that came out, from both sides.
The people who commented on Scholtzky's blog reminded me of all those idiot Digg users out there. You know the type: trolls who complain about MMO players having no lives while they spend 90% of their time posting on Digg, or who call a curvaceous cosplayer a disgusting slob because she isn't model-thin.Â
I agree with Jukkan that bloggers should have a thick skin; it's necessary for any creative profession. I think there's a big difference, though, between constructive criticism and outright flaming. Many of the negative comments I've seen in the forums or the comments section of blogs are usually peppered with offensive name-calling. If these flamers could make rational, well-written comments, there would be no cause for complaint. But comments that are hastily and sloppily written and filled with words like "noob", "idiot", or "stupid" are reprehensible.

Twitter is very dull unless you have a decent amount of friends to have "conversations" with. I had it for a while prior to launching my blog, and my only friends were my brother, two RL friends, and my mother-in-law. The only person who ever really updated was my brother, and we rarely had "conversations" over Twitter. It felt like I was just updating for the sake of updating.
Now that the blog is launched and I have a nice group of fellow blogger friends, it's a lot more enjoyable. Ordinarily I would never get the chance to converse with these people (except save the occasional blog comment exchange), but with Twitter I am able to keep up with many of them and feel closer to the community.
It's worth trying. Make an account, do a tweet or two a day, and see what happens. Or not. Maybe we don't want you on Twitter! Hmph. :P

Then I said, what about Breakfast at WAR? And she said I think I remember the game. I guess I recall I said we both kinda liked it.

I was looking forward to character growth also. I think ultimately, though, Mythic would have to let players determine whether they want their characters to develop or not. If your character is a dwarf with a short beard and you base your character's story around that short beard, you're not going to want his beard to grow.Â
I like the idea of long-term disabilities/buffs and NPC reactions. I agree with Skar: trophies could use work. Some are glitchy and blurry, some are boring, and others are ugly. There needs to be a greater variety implemented. They're doing a good job by adding new trophies with each live event, but I'd like to see more trophies in PQ loot, as quest rewards, or as random drops from players.

I'd love to see all of these implemented, especially numbers 5, 6, 9, and 10.
